Summer Squash Standard
Posted by Tent
When most people think summer squash, they usually think "zucchini". This is THE staple summer squash - green skin, delicious flesh and full of the fresh tastes of summer. You can use it as an ingredient in pasta sauces and summer salads, marinate it and kebob it for the grill, batter and fry em' up for a crispy golden treat or grate them to add to gluten free pizza crusts and, of course, zucchini bread.
If you are wondering why our zucchinis might seem a little bit smaller than the giant-mamas in your home garden - we pick squash on the smaller side in the prime of their tenderness and flavor. Doing so also keeps their skin thin and edible - no peeling necessary. Just slice and enjoy.
